Removing the FITV shouldnt be a problem as its not electronically controlled like the IACV. Also the FITV is only open during cold start up, once the engine is warm the FITV is closed and has no operation.Lude-dude wrote:if you remove the fitv then you need aftermarket managment to compensate?
How was the FITV bypassed? Did you reconfigure the lines to the IACV properly? If it isnt hooked up properly the IACV may be affected perhaps causing the high idle.
You need to connect 1-1 and 2-2 like in the below pic.
