Only if one is connected to the other though, otherwise they're independent.

The tri y exhaust is so much more open in vtec especially where there is valve overlap.

Yep, didn't realise there was valve overlap in vtec, hence my question/confusion

I hadn't bothered to read that much about the changes in vtec, I assumed it was just an increase in lift and duration didn't realise it gave overlap. That makes sense now though

Tri-Y = True 2.5 collector.
Fuji = 2.36 or thereabouts.

Some of these Tri-Y's have rubbish clearance so I'll be choosing carefully.

seems like the Vibrant Tri-Y manifolds have the best clearance so i'll give them badboys a look.
