Cheers for the info chaps. vanzep, how much of a difference has it made to your lude? I'd be going from a mugen to hytech so I guess it wouldn't be a massive jumop tho

Nits, problem for me with solid fab is that he's on the wrong side of the country so would be a big pain in the arse getting to him. Will probably cost me an extra couple hundred in dicking about.

If I get one delivered here, I can take it to @tramroadmotors to install (notch the slam panel & make up the connection) which can be done while I'm in work as he's like 2 miles from my office

Alex ive hardly driven the car since fitting it as the noise from the jap can on the exhaust is hurting my ears

I went from a 2" straight thru powerflow system to the 2.5" hytech custom system and there are gains there for sure. Im fitting a new back box on Monday so will have a better idea of how it compares once this is done and i ve tested it against a benchmark lude such as @indigolemon

@vanzep fitting a CAT or sports CAT made a massive difference to the noise on mine. Like from too loud to just nice. Sounds almost standard but a bit deeper/throaty at idle and cruise.

thanks bud but the exhaust is custom made with no cat or decat section - would need to chop it up to fit one. not really an option as the custom exhaust is a work of art imo just hoping the new back box will make enough of a difference to make it acceptable. ive got to keep reminding myself my lude is my daily drive and works vehicle and not a track car

Mine is a daily and I have a mugen mani and greddy 2 1/4" evo 2 cat back and no cat. It's pretty loud already so don't think it could get much louder
