modding not right

Post by spudep91 » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:06 am

Put a aftermarket 4-2-1 with a spoon decat and 2:25 pipe on her last night. there no back box on yet but started it up and it just wants to die out again unless u give it revs. did not take it a run ss it was late. does anyone no why it wants to cut out. im thinking mybe just needs a good vtec out the road till it gets used to the air flow

Might be worth trying a pull on the clock/radio fuse or dc'ing the battery for a minute or two. Will reset the ECU.

Is it a JDM car? Is the CAT temp sensor earthed off? I doubt that this would cause your issue though.

Check to see if there are any leaks in the mani -> downpipe.

Ah, not bad. Could have been the missing backbox maybe? Glad it's sorted. PS Pump swap is dead easy too if you source a spare :)
