5 gen 2.2 VTI need advice on 4WS driveability and feel

Post by DarioR » Sat Jun 02, 2018 3:13 pm

Hello all,

I'm really looking to buy 1997 Prelude 2.2VTI 5. gen with 4WS.
I like to drive my cars through twisty roads and like to have good feel of a car.
I've never drive 4WS on any car, so I'm interested and have a bit of a concern how is to drive 4WS?
Would it kill driving pleasure through corners or ad some unusual feel to how the car handles?

Please if you can advice how is it to drive 4ws?
Really gratefull for all your help.

greets from southern Europe
Dario

Go test drive one, personally I find the 4ws offers far more of a planted and stable ride round twisty corners. Rather than the front just dragging the rear around, the rear becomes part of the overall experience, and the car feels like a more complete unit overall.

I only really notice the 4ws when parking, I smash my car though country lanes regularly and also daily drive it everywhere. I’ve had to reset the 4ws once but it’s an easy task. It definitely won’t kill the driving experience :D
