H22a struggling to run and dies Help :(

Wonder if I could ask for some help .

I have a euro r cl1 that I've just dropped a new engine into.

It's running a obd1 conversation and low boost setup My problem is it will not run or rev.

When turning the key it will turn over for about 4/5 seconds to it fires and the attempts to run but very badly all most like it's on 2 cylinder and smells of fuel and some grey smoke. You can not rev the car and then dies after a short while. I have checked and made sure i have not got the wiring for Tps and map sensor wrong, tested tps, checked for vacuum leaks ect. It has new plugs and leads.

It seems to have plenty of fuel and is timed up correctly I also have no Eml light. Its driving me mad any help would be much appreciated.

sounds like you really need some one with the same conversion/set up or similar to meet up with you so you can do a comparison.
its almost impossible to offer any help from info youve given not that is a criticism in anyway

whereabouts are you?

It ran fine on the old engine .

It's converted to obd1 from obd2 using a p28 , obd1 iacv and adaptor harness.

The only thing different on my setup is its running a 4 bar map sensor for boost and the fact it's converted to obd1 .

I have no engine light on just struggles to run or rev coughs and dies

I assume youre running obd1 injectors?
