Pops and bangs through air filter

Question for you guru gods.
Got a problem that is stressing me out.
My car has started to pop and bang through the air filter, it takes about 10 turns of the key the car does eventually start up.
At first i thought it was the iacv as i disabled it due to not enough space in the bay at the time. And thought that it was hunting for idle from a cold start.

Ive got the euro r inlet, 345cc prelude injectors im running the h22 chrome basemap.

Ht leads are fine and the spark plugs are fresh.
Any other ideas would be greatful

When were the valve clearances last checked?

Ive not checked them, bought it from a guy that said it ran sweet as a nut

Does it drive ok when warm?

I'd check valve and ignition timing and the valve clearances.

Yea sorry forgot to put that in. Yes once i get past this bit car runs ok just woth a lil bit of a hesistation but then goes. Was thinking maybe a dizzy could be in order.

Again, try the igniter chap. Gives a backfire type misfire when it fails.
