Warning lights

Post by L30njt » Sat Mar 23, 2013 3:37 pm

Everytime i accelerate the handbrake light comes on i know theres nothing wrong with the brakes as they've not long been changed and adjusted because of the light but its still doing it, any ideas.

It aslo has a whistle when accelerating aswell would this just be because of the induction kit.

Top that up first then - low brake fluid level sets off that warning light.

I was going to say low brake fluid aswell. Des anyone know how the fluid is measured? Is it a float connected to the lid for the brake fluid reservoir? If it is make sure it can move freely, it could be sticking and giving a false error.

I had this happen once, turned out to be the spade connector for the warning light which attached to the handbrake. I just removed the plastic surround & insulated the connection a bit better.

I read all your posts in Zapf Brannigans voice. You should post more.
