Honda 5th gen Lude 2.2 VTI 2000 W reg UK car - price reduced

I’ve owned the Lude for 3 years now, it’s been a great car and its never let me down but I‘ve just purchased another Honda that I should be picking up at the weekend and although I may regret selling this, its time for a change.

I used to use / search the puk forum for info, but as that site gets minimal attention, I thought I’d see if anyone here would be interested first before advertising elsewhere.

The car is in good condition considering its age. It was previously owned by a friend who also used to be on the puk forum. The cars had quite a lot of money spent maintaining and modifying. :)

The engine was swapped out during previous ownership when the original engines big end went, this work was carried out professionally by Performance Autoworks. The engine wasn’t another red-top but a H22 import, so still good power.
I had a rolling road power run a couple of years ago which showed 198.1bhp with decent curves and have a graph to prove.
I’ve also taken the car on a track day at Castle Combe, which was an awesome experience as the car performed well.

Mot end Jan 2014 & tax end Sep 2013

Night hawk black in colour
118k on the chassis with 93k on replacement engine
The car has been regularly serviced and I have comprehensive receipts for work carried out on the car
The interior is in very good condition, black and charcoal grey, the seats are unmarked and all switches work
Std wheels, refurbished 2.5 years ago. 2 front tyres are Toyo Proxes with good tread, rear tyres are Bridgestone Potenza’s, near wear limits
I have 2 or 3 sets of keys also with red master key

Spec -
Usual vti refinements
Power steering, ABS, Airbags
Cruise control
Sunroof
mud flaps all round
Rear spoiler
Colour coded bumpers and side skirts (front bumper resprayed at same time as wheels due to remove stone chips)
Colour coded foldable mirrors
Heated seats and mirrors

ICE -
Nice Pioneer double din stereo
Rear speakers uprated to 6x9s
Amp wiring kit fed to boot (no amp currently fitted though)
USB connection in glove box
Apple connection in centre console

Modifications -
- Tein superstreet coilover suspension, with front and rear top mounts replaced
- Front upper Type S strut brace
- Rear upper Megan racing strut brace
- Uprated engine / gearbox mount
- ACT prolite flywheel
- Exedy OE clutch kit
- AEM long ram air intake
- GReddy cat back exhaust, could be Evo (with decat pipe)
- Grooved front discs, specd by PA, (recently fitted)
- Ferrodo DS2500 pads, (recently fitted)
- Viper Class 1 alarm system
- New number plates fitted

- I also have some front braided brake lines which are still boxed, not yet fitted

Good points -

- The cars been maintained to a high standard by Performance Autoworks from previous owner and myself, with many new parts and with all modifications being fitted by them also
- I Believe the replacement engine has a baffled sump :)
- No rust, just 2 tiny bubbles on the nearside rear arch which haven’t changed in size at all since my ownership
- Air con fully working and regassed
- I still have the standard shocks and springs and air intake available

Bad points -

- Couple of minor dings and scratches
- Unfortunately some helmet :x keyed the offside of the car around 2 years ago on Halloween, which starts on the drivers door and goes 2/3 down the rear quarter. Never had this resprayed as it was fortunately fairly light and didn’t break through the primer. I was quoted £200 to rectify this
- Minor oil leak from one corner of rocker cover

I have pics available which I took a couple of years ago and some others from when I was on track a year ago. I will take some more up to date pics when I give the car a clean etc.

I may well have missed something, so let me know if you think there is anything else you need to know or you have any questions…
Looking into insurance options, so may or may not have to sorn the car.

Hopefully someone else will enjoy the car as much as I have done... :|

Located in Gloucestershire, PM me if interested… Price is £1600 ono

Cheers Simoncider, I know what you mean, if your willing to have a car with slight age there's a whole host of cars on the market which have good performance or are high spec'd for minimal money currently...

And many thanks to Merlin for sorting my pics out... ;)

Hi,

Some updates -
Ive just reduced the price to £2000ono, cars now also advertised on pistonheads, i may try autotrader too.

Correction on tax, its actually end of Sep 13 not Oct. Also I cant seem to find the master red key, which most probably means I never had it on purchase, just cant recall, but will keep looking, apologies...

Cheers

At the risk of sounding terribly unfaithful, this is making me wish I was still in the market for a lude
