Will get some pics up tomorrow, but the basics -
Fifth gen 1998 Prelude Vti
2.2ltr VTEC (the 185bhp, 155lbft one)
11 months MOT
Dark red
4 previous owners
175,000 miles (was a company car for first three years of its life, early motorway miles when it was still under Honda warranty). Below average mileage since then
4 wheel steering
ABS
Power steering
Electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, all works.
Cruise control
Private plate H3HHA
Drives absolutely spot on, pulls like a train and VTEC engages smoothly and powerfully. It is a torquey engine and is tight as a drum, no leaks, and its temperature is perfect as you'd expect from a well maintained Honda engine.
Gearbox perfect, no crunches. Brakes perfect, flew through MOT last month, as it has done in previous years. It feels like a car that's done 60,000 miles, everything is tight, smooth and feels solid. It drives like a new car.
I did a major service last year (north of £600) and replaced the cambelt, water pump, aux belts, coolant, new filters, balance shaft seal retainer clip, various oil seals). Have since done tyres too and oil changes, etc. It's not wanted for anything. After the major service I drove to Paris and back in a weekend in it without any issues at all, and it has not failed me in any way since, bar a headlight bulb. It has easily been the most reliable car I've had and will go for donkeys years yet, it feels like it's only a few years old. There is some service history and previous MOTs.
Bad bits, last year someone bumped into the back of me in a queue of traffic and popped in the plastic bumper a bit. I popped it out by hand and re sat the bumper and whilst it's hardly noticeable the shutlines aren't perfect. It's a minor thing, you'd not even know if you weren't looking for it. Being 16 years old there are a few parking dings but really only a few and small at that. It polishes up well with a wash and valet. Interior is in superb condition though drivers seat belt needs a little encouragement to retract all the way back by itself.
I've not seen any rust on it at all, but will double check with a fine tooth comb in the coming day or two. It's never been welded as it's never needed it.
That's it really, I'll add to the ad if anything else comes to mind.
