Re: Merlin's 4G Track Lude
Fook knows. I get pools under the ECU, behind the front seats in the rear footwells, and bizarrely on the passenger side in the boot. Not the floor of the boot but inbetween the outer and inner skins of the rear 3/4 panel (right below where the air pressure vents are).

Can tell you where that one is, the strip at the base of your rear window is loose on that side, and the clips sit in the drainage channel. Water will get in and drop straight into that area.Merlin wrote:on the passenger side in the boot ...

If you have any neoprene gasket spare from the spoiler, it's great for using on those clips.

Re: Merlin's 4G Track Lude
Me and Indigolemon were at the wheel alighment place on Friday morning. My car really needed it done after the lowering and rebuilding the front left. The laser alignment showed my front left to be at a comparative right angle to the rest of the wheels, no supprise there. During previous wheel alignments I was made aware of a small castor issue on the front left due to a mildly bent radius rod, since that is what I replaced I was pleased to hear that the castor issue has gone
Again my car was setup with a small bias towards oversteer
After the alignment I still have wheel judder
Maybe there is a small buckle or something
The car is driveable now as I have swapped the fronts and rear so the "bucked" wheel is on the rear. Cursed wheels
Anyway they get their new valves fitted on thursday.
Also there is quite a rattle coming from down low at the rear. While its in the garage on thurday they will sort it out. Hopefully its just something thats come loose, although it doesnt seem to effect handling

Re: Merlin's 4G Track Lude
Yo yoing the yo! Just got off the phone from the garage and she's all ready to go now
New wheel valves fitted and they found the rattle, a loose bolt somewhere low down in the rear suspension
I dont know the specifics but its tightened and they had it out on a run and all is fine!
All thats left is to get wheels off IndigoLemon, fit the semi slicks and get them balanced, hope its dry on the day, and jobs a good 'un
Hopefully I can complete a track day, something I havent managed in the 4G this year (3 attempts so far
)
I have been painting bits on the car to tidy it up a bit. The wipers, windscreen trim, nostrils, and wing mirrors are now black to extend my colour theme. Pics comming once it stops pissing it down. If it stays dry long enough I'll fit the new rear bumper. Once its on I can show off my newly fitted Tanabe Hyper Medalion backbox.
