Project BTTF - 3G Accord Aerodeck

This is my baby, my third car and quite possibly the love of my life haha...

1986 Honda Accord Aerodeck, A20A2 carb.

The project name comes from an ongoing joke about the car vaguely looking like a Delorean, my trainer choice being similar to Marty Mcfly and the guy we bought it off kind of resembling Doc Brown and having a time-warp house full of boom boxes, mini bars and 60s wallpaper.

I checked the chassis code and found out it was made at the Sayama plant in Japan.

I've also checked howmanyleft and it seems to be the earliest of it's kind left in the UK too!

I got the other half to buy a spare as a daily so I could have the wings off it [couldn't find any anywhere and took nearly 6 months to find a donor car!] so there's also a thread here for that:

More updates soon.

But before I get into the build, this was my previous car, my Polo Breadvan 1ltr, [my first car! 5 years later...] and was a bit of a laugh - nothing serious. The Accord is my serious car ;]

Haha I wouldn't say convert :P I was never VAG... I just like estates!!! The whole VW Golf thing is not at all me, I do not like them haha! My preferences have always leaned more towards japanese vehicles but insurance is a bitch on ALL of them, so the Polo came along as my first car until I could get something better, never expected it would be 5 years before I actually got anything better, and more likely 6 years before I'm likely to drive it hahaha! :[

Meh, you started with a VW and now you have a Honda, that'll do for me :)

Yeah you got that right haha! I've been offered £1100 for it before which is more than I paid for my Deck so I feel a bit silly not taking people's money for it

Yes that's the original 'ok honda' sticker

Oh and I was given this by a mate who had no idea what it was, he'd been given it by a mate who found it in a workshop he was renting! After a bit of research I believe it to be an Isotta, made in Italy, the numbers being when it was made [awesomely 4 months after I fell out of my mother] which is apparently the year the company was formed so could be worth a bit in a few years. Shame it's unbranded, I assume all the branding was originally on the horn button! If anyone has any better ideas as to what it is let me know ;]

A girl after my own heart. Gotta love station wagons eh? :D

Yep, yours is the earliest manual left in the UK, mine is one of the last of the manuals left in the UK being an '88. Opposite ends of the spectrum there!! Also, there are only about 10 or so manuals left in the UK that I can trace.
