Well, just got back from getting this
I made it 20 miles before it cut out - from my experience of 8v VW's on carbs I've most likely got rust in my fuel system, or possibly I'm having issues with carb icing
At any rate I'm home and the car is on it's way

I've got 3 big boxes full of spares including 3 carbs, at least 1 of each ancillary and countless other relays and electrical bits, so no doubt I'll get her sorted soon.
But good points - it's on coilovers, running a Webber carb conversion, and it's silly fun to drive

I'll be getting a GTi cam into it ASAP, so it should be real good fun then!
More photos tomorrow hopefully

That sounds painful. Maybe you should go see a doctor about that? (sorry, I'll get my coat!)
That is a very nice motor. I do like the old 'roccos, definitely smart looking motors

Cheers guys
Yeah this is definitely 100% totally and utterly the last car I buy until I sell one! But for £300 who was I to say no

sitting inside of it doesn't feel like anything I've driven before, I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of it

provided I iron out the running problems, I think I'm going to have a tough time deciding which to sell first out of this and the Golf

My BMW was a E reg, with 3.5 Litres of straight six, sideway goodness for £50 more
I did set fire to itself though, but was epic before it did

Why not drop an ABF 16v in there? Proper sleeper then

Probably the only VW I would buy
... Still, should have bought my suspension for the Accord first

Nice car mate. How many cars have you got now? Is there a competition on LG for the most non running cars lol
