Guess Crazy's New Non-Lude Project!!

I am going to be starting a project soon, will be a bit involved and may take a few months to get done, but will hopefully be going by the end of the year. I shall be collecting the core of it next week 
I will give 10 hints, see who can guess correctly!
1 - It will primarily be used for commuting as it will do about 50mpg (in theory)
2 - It will be cheap to insure at about £250 for the year
3 - It will be cheap to tax at less than £100 for the year
4 - I will be exposed to the elements (and no, it's not a bike, despite selling motorbike insurance, I have no bike licence!
)
5 - It will undoubtedly be instantly recognisable as one of my vehicles
6 - It will have a power to weight ratio of about 250hp/ton
7 - It is mid engined and rear wheel drive
8 - It is Jap
9 - It is a 2 seater
10 - Most of the chassis will be visible
