Owned since March 2010. After owning EP3s for 3 years, spending about £6000 on modding the last one, and not liking the FN2, I decided to go the standard & turbo route. Was a refreshing change, especially being remapped to 300 horses and torques

Standard apart from an Alpine 305 iPod head unit, tinted rears, R32 clocks (blue needles) and a MFSW (mine wasn't fitted at standard, bloody cheap arse!)

It's been a joy to own, done about 30k miles without a problem. Consumption is good, average 33mpg. Heated seats, electric lumbar, cruise, etc etc. It's back to standard bhp of 230 after VW updated the ECU, which I didn't want, but with 300bhp I was driving like a bankrobber everywhere. Plus the clutch won't last long, it's still the original one and the car had been remapped since 8000 miles and was put back to standard at around 40000. Now on 53k

I like them. I've seen a Pirelli edition of a GTI as well, it has tyre thread pattern on their seats. Looked well cool. 8-)

Aye the Pirelli seats look smart. Most people prefer them to the Tartan ones, which always get stick lol

Iv sat in and drove both the Golf GTI and the Scirocco. Both identical in engine, performance and chassis.
I very much preferred the Golf by along way.
Just so easy to drive in all gears all the time effortlessly.

Yes mate, it's certainly effortless. Great engine, and great visibility. As soon as I sat in it I knew I liked it.
