Finally cracked the 60MPG mark! 470 miles from 35.32 litres of Shell Fuelsave unleaded.

It's my runabout... A 100K+ miles EG Civic VEi (VTEC-E) 1.5 hatchback. That was with 2 people in the car, luggage, at 60-70MPH, about 1/2 hr stuck in traffic, almost all motorway miles. Totally standard except a K&N panel filter and tyres at 34PSi.

This car was supposed to be a cheap run about. It's survived 2 crashes since we've owned it, got a rusty sunroof, scuffed up paintwork and is generally beat up. But the more I drive it the more I think I should be spending the money earmarked for the Prelude on it :?
