The electronic dash is from a Japanese market supra and only made for right hand drive cars. The dash was never installed in America or left hand drive. The original dash uses analog dials. To install the dash was a huge task. For example, for the fuel gauge to work, the electrical resistance in the fuel tank sender unit was measured and plotted on a graph taking into account that the fuel in tank has different volumes percentages at different levels inside the tank due to its shape. The signals from the sender were calculated and he created a module behind the dash to illuminate a segment at a time depending on the signals from the unit in the tank.
Also the speed on jap cars is measured in kph. However the dash has been converted to read mph. The speedo on the dash with the dials is motor driven, as the speed sensor on a drive shaft rotates the rotational signals are converted to a voltage this then drives the dial to read the speed on the dash. However the digital version doesn't have the motor, so again a module had been created to convert the motor voltage to switch the speed up and down.
the harness and module assembly is now plug and play too, so if i wanted the dials to be reinstated then all i would have to do is unplug it and all the tech goes with it, this is the only known non jap market car fitted with this dash with mph working. There is one other in Australia but this is kph
