Hey guys,

Sorry about being quiet for a while, new job means I don't have as much time to get on the forums any more :( For those who don't know, I now work for Harley Davidson at Europe's oldest dealership, Warr's, been on the King's Road in London since 1924! Since working there, I passed my bike test at the end of November, sold Sid, my ginormous trike :( , and treated myself to a Harley :D Always wanted one, and now I have one :D It may not have VTEC, it may not have much hp (883cc producing about 45hp but 54ft.lb of torque)

It's only a baby Harley, a Sportster, so it's not quite a full hog, just a piglet!

It's a Sportster XL883R, 2009, fuel injected, standard engine and tuning (for now!), Screaming Eagle intermediate exhausts, all blacked out. I've fitted it up with a saddle bag, headlamp grill, and also now got the all important Lude U plate on it too  I will put it back on a 'lude one day, honest!

Anyways, here's some pics :D

Photo of it at work after a quick clean (it gets dirty very quickly, and yes, believe it or not, I do clean it, usually twice a week!!!!!!!!!)

And the Lude U plate on there too (I'm getting one made up that doesn't say Sportster at the bottom as I think it'll look better without that)

Hey Dom, good to hear from you. Bike looks quite purposeful from the rear 3 quarters.

Where did you sell the trike? Through work?

What job do you do at the dealer?

Cheers man. Yea, it's quite unusual with everything all blacked out but I like it, and unusual too being gloss black as well.

I sold the trike via trike clubs on Facebook, work wouldn't have been interested really.

I'm one of the parts guys at work, so deal with getting the parts for the workshop as well as all the aftermarket and Harley upgrade parts for customers. Certainly good fun :D

Got a new seat for the Piglet. Those of you who've met me know that I'm not exactly the typical body build of a Harley rider (I'm about 5'8 / 5'9 and weigh 9.5st!!), so I had a slight issue in that when I accellerated hard, on the old seat, I started to slide up onto the pillion seat! I got myself a seat made by a company called Mustang, which has a nice butt stop (that is the actual Harley technical term!) so I now stay in the seat! It's also a bit lower too to help me reach the ground

Give you an idea, this is the side profile of the old and the new seats.

I also had the ECU tuned today at work so suit the more open air filter and the freer flowing exhaust I'll be putting on it soon. Made it run so much smoother it's unreal. Totally made it into a different animal! The tuning software is so easy to use, it's brilliant. Plug the tuner into the computer, adjust what settings you want to adjust, save them to the tuner, plug it into the ECU, and hit the transfer button. Simples!! So much that you can adjust though, it's brilliant!

They may not have horsepower, but they have plenty of torque. Basically the opposite of a Honda
