Honda-Hardys Accord 2.0i SE VTEC

BARGAIN

BARGAIN

BARGAIN

i have been looking for a runner to use as a daily for when my lude goes in to paw for some engine work.
trawling the usual places, eBay, gumtree and the like. i came across this beauty.

silver accord 2.0i vtec, SE, sohc 16v, october 2000 registered.
MOT end of october, TAX end of november.

£350.

few little faults,
rear wheel bearing noisy.
air-con pump noisy when air-con switched on.
rear bumper paint awful full of filler and rattle canned
inside filthy
exterior paint very flat with not much shine.

good points.
NO RUST
good brakes and suspension.
like new front tyres good rears.
the biggest service history i have ever seen.
2 owners from new from the same family.

i took it up to my MOT place and i popped it on the ramps. everything is mint underneath. no oil leaks, great exhaust.
suspension bushes and joints all good too.

so all in all a great purchase.

3x3point seat belts, nice touch.

i managed to give the inside a good vacuum and dust out before a huge thunderstorm, look at some of the clouds in the pics.

i did manage to give the car a good wash, clay, polish and wax and then the rains came again. grrrrr

i have removed the ghastly stickers from the boot and petrol flap. i will be getting some boot badges as it looks so bare without them. i will also be changing the registration plates for shiney new ones as they look awful and are de-laminating.

also it drives so well.

My partners day has the saloon executive version of this. Same engine. Drives very very nicely.
Not too disimmilar to the Lude as it has the all round double wishbone handling that Honda oh so did well.

nope, this one will either be a tidy standard 3rd car or we will move it on after our ludes are fixed.

Nice one mate, I have the SE Executive 6th Gen Accord and they are really nice cars to drive :) Yours is also a facelift like mine, much better looking than the pre-facelift imo.

Only common faults to watch out for that I can think of are the rear calipers sticking and the lambda sensor shitting itself. Otherwise they're a textbook honda :)

The previous owner had the lambda sensor and one of the rear clippers, both hand brake cables. 2 tyres, and a power steering pipe replaced in October. Happy days.

How will I know what it actually is? Would the log book say executive? What is the difference between the se and se executive?
