Yeah, that's expensive for powder coating. My powder coaters have put their prices up to £45 per wheel and that includes blasting.

Imo for all the work that's cheap.
I'd be expecting to pay around £450 inc vat for all of that.

Didn't fancy painting them yourself then Sam? You've done good stuff on painting wheels yourself before now!

I wouldn't give up on the painting yourself idea, whats the worse that could happen and as you said you've done it before.
I got my Advan repaired just before the festive season, more than i expected too like your quotes, the shop even put a lick of paint on it although it wasn't requested, gladly they hadn't enough paint to finish, terrible mismatch, luckily their welding/straightening repair work was better!

Finished it off my self and was happy with it,tbh i forget which wheel it is now on the car

If you put all that money in they will be keepers but been super rare ones i think your there already 8-)

I did contemplate the paint job myself but spending the amount on fixing them I thought I might as well get them powder coated. If I painted them and didn't like the finish I would have needed to spend £85 more than the total I am at now.

Id spend the cash personally, they're rare wheels and will be worth what its cost you and more once done.

That wheel repair place, can you ask if they can repair and counter sink damaged holes?

@4thgenphil i take it that you mean the holes for the wheel nuts.
i would need to know if the wheels have cup/inserts or just machined holes. can you send me a photo of your holes? :hurr:

just been on the phone to the guy, he tells me that the holes will need to be rewelded up to fill the damaged area, then they have to send them to a machinist who can then machine the holes to the correct pcd. its not a simple case of re boring the holes you have im affraid.
