Got a car that isn't a Lude? There's no condemnation here. Tell us about it!

Nope, was a UKDM DC2. Don't try hit me with the pish about them being lower power than JDM either, because on the road, there's no difference. Again, speaking from real life experience.newkid wrote:Your mate obviously had the b18c4 si dc2 then and not a proper itr which would explain the corsa keeping up.Nik_L wrote:Regardless of what people think, its not hard to drive a vtec car hard/to its potential.newkid wrote:Nik_L wrote:I actually felt the opposite. For a car with nigh on 200bhp, they aren't that quick, certainly not insanely quick. Straight line speed, my old Corsa with circa 150bhp used to tear my mates DC2 a new 1.DaveyBa8 wrote:I had a 96 spec DC2, loved that car, insanely quick for what they are.
In the twisties however, the DC2 is unreal. You could push and push and the cars limits are far greater than most drivers limits. Still regarded by many as the best handling FWD car ever made.![]()

Your mate obviously couldnt drive the dc2 properly if the corsa was beating himHe knew how to drive it.
Corsa XE weighs about that same as a DC2, torque figures speak a thousand words. DC2 has around 120lb/ft, XE Corsa, about 150lb/ft. That's where the Corsa has the advantage.
Both cars will do the standing 1/4 in high 14s/low 15s.
Not sure what's so hard to believe. Straight line pace, the Corsa had the extra grunt to pull away comfortably.

This is the 98 Spec JDM bumper on this one, same as UK except for the number plate recessNik_L wrote:Awesome. JDM with the UKDM rear bumper is what its all about. The JDM rear looks hideous.

Marc, looks lovely matey. Good buy

Donald/Sha/Nik_L: Cheers guys
The 98spec rear bumper also differs to the uk due to an incorporated fog light too.
Nik_L: understand what your saying about a redtop corsa. Mate had a b18c converted ek civic and both had a rolling race and were pretty much neck-a-neck.
My last jdm dc2 managed a 13.8 @ 103mph with a few breathing mods, so hopefully thats where she will be in a months time.

Lovely- still miss mine terribly...
Prefer it to the ATR??
I never ever felt my Accord was anything like the car the Integra was...
Not thinking a PAW worked h22a7 would be the way ahead?

Detailed and new exhaust
Post by Dino » Sun Jun 30, 2013 7:56 pm
Went and bought a Skunk2 Megapower back box and that mated up to a custom built 63mm exhaust with CNC bends and some lovelly TIG welding and fitted DECAT. The exhaust is a small work of art... Very Happy

I then spent the time giving the car a detail, wash, clay polish Wax/Seal

Oh and a quick engine bay pic
