can you not hire a crusher or maybe just get some lads round with sledgehammers to break the rubble up over a weekend camping in your house for beer and burgers

Re: Nathan's Garage
The plan was to hire the crusher and a digger and get some mates around, but having spoken to the chap it's not going to be too much extra at all to have him and his mate do it for us. And he doesn't hire the crusher without himself anyway.

This thread should be retitled to, 'Nathan's Virtual Garage'. Stop faffing about ,lad. Get yer finger out and build the bloomin' thing.
It's like watching a series of 'Petrocelli*', he never finished his building work did he?
*(Only those of err, advanced years will know to what I'm referring)

Re: Nathan's Garage

Plot:
Tony Petrocelli was an Italian-American Harvard-educated lawyer who grew up in South Boston and gave up the big money and frenetic pace of major-metropolitan life to practice in a sleepy city in Arizona called San Remo (filmed in Tucson, Arizona). He and his wife Maggie lived in a house trailer in the country while waiting for their new home to be built (it was never completed over the course of the series). Tony drove a beat-up old pickup truck, always a little too fast. Petrocelli hired Pete Ritter, a local cowboy, as his investigator.
And it feels like I'm in the sixth season!

You should approach a TV production company with a view to creating a new reality show on the trials and tribulations of this epic (non) build.
A sure-fire ratings winner if I've ever seen one. Just think, close up shots of Nathan weeping as another builder has let him down, "...all I asked for was four tons of cement and he only delivered three, it's just so...so....heartbreaking...I....I...just don't know if i can carry on with it.... (cue solemn, suitably weepy orchestral music to highlight the broken man we see before us on our telly screens)
(Voice over of DecnAnt) Next week, on 'The Garage that Nathan Never Built', an explosive episode where Nathan hires a pneumatic drill, with hilarious consequences. Don't miss it folks, it'll be a laugh-riot!"
