THE CHIN SPOILER/BUMPER! No?

Not sure about the cut-outs just under the lights, but definitely potential... looks good. 8-)

It's a 3rd gen Prelude bumper! :D bit of work to get it to fit, but everything lines up perfectly, the arches etc, except the cut outs under the lights - but they only need to be widened slightly, it's sitting lower than it will at the moment as the edge of the cut out where it comes up is too high, when it's done it will sit perfectly flush.

Going stop using my sidelights [they're rubbish anyway, two tiny dots that don't even notice in the dusk] and use the Lude ones in the bumper instead, it came with all the lights etc. for a really good price!

I like it 8-) Nice idea, and you're helping a bit of a 3rd gen to live on after its death (I don't think you'll have a problem with rejection because the two are related).

The more I look at that the more I think it looks like it was made for it. Good spot, looks great. 8-)

Yeah [sorry if anyone is bored by lots of text posts and no pictures] I just have to paint my rear to match now.

I did loads of research but as far as I can tell it's never been done before, but in my research I found someone who had put a 3G lude bumper onto a 2G lude [or the other way around maybe?] and then also found someone who had put a 2G lude bumper on a 3G accord, so bit the bullet and it's turned out pretty well. :D

It just gives it a slightly more sporty look whilst still being subtle enough to look OEM.

Had to cut and reweld the bumper supports [just tacked atmo] to be smaller to bring the bumper back enough to match up to the arches, and cut out a few other bits of support that were no longer needed and just in the way. Also used the Accord bumper support bar instead of the Prelude one.

It does sit a fair bit lower, the splitter is quite wedgey at the back too but I don't plan on going stupidly low so should be ok!

Have also taken the rear lip off the Prelude bumper and basically cut the f*** out of it to make it line up with mine but not sure if I'm going to use it yet... Depends how it'll look when painted. :?

If you don't put the text someone will ask the questions anyway!

It does look OEM

See what you mean about the rear. Like you say, interesting to see when painted.

Looking good hun. So it seems you're baciscally making a Prelude station wagon. What next, a Prelude badge on the back to confuse people?

Ha it's only a front bumper, nothing else ;) I looked at the Kaminari ones but everything looked too far from OEM :(
