Seeing as it's fairly good weather out I decided to get stuck right in to it this eve:
Bit of oil present at the turbo

Not sure if this has come from the engine breather though as it's on the intake side. At any rate there's no play in the shaft

Removing these studs was a ball ache:

Blanking plates on inlet side:
All blanked off:
Then I just had to put it all back together again, wasn't eventful and my camera ran out of batteries so no pics.
I shortened and blanked both vacuum hoses that were left flapping about. In doing so I found that almost all the hoses need replacing as they're either cracking or just falling off their connectors

The hose that runs to the fuel pump to increase the output when on boost had come off too, I think this was as a result of me being clumsy but we shall see tomorrow. That one definitely needs replacing as it slides off if you so much as look at it
So there we go, all done. Will be interesting to see if I notice any difference, as the EGR valves weren't actually too dirty.
