Recaros in 5th Gen Prelude

Post by K4MR411 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:04 pm

I managed to source a set of DC2 recaros with rails and was wondering if the DC2 brackets will fit onto the prelude? Or is there rails that can be bought to fit recaros to preludes? Or should i just opt for custom fabricated brackets?

And if none of that makes sense, then im just as confused as you are

Could you take your rails off your Prelude seats and have them adapted to fit the recaros?

Just did a quick search on the Yank forums and they've went for custom made rails. Altho some said that a bit of welding and grinding will get them to fit.

I'll get a better idea once i compare them as i only got the seats tonight.

I prefer the original comfortable Prelude seats. Pointless mod IMO. :poke:

The dc2 recaros in my 4th gen were far superior to the standard seats. Much more supportive all round.
If I took a fast corner I would slide around in the standard seats, and there ws no support around the shoulders.
I still count it as the best mod I did in all the years of prelude ownership.
