Wetness!!! :-(

So, with all the rain my boot has been creating a good puddle in the tyre well. I thought this was down to the boot seal so dried everything out and left the car to stand overnight and for the first time since 2011 it didnt rain.

Went out in the car yesterday and a puddle has started forming in the boot again already  but the car was also full of condensation. Not just steamed up windows but full on dripping off the inside of the windscreen.

I dont have any rear speakers in the car, so was thinking the puddle in the boot could be build up from the stupid amount of condensation inside the cabin, which leads me to my question;

Has anyone else had this cabin full of condensation issue? I've checked for damp patches on the carpets but there aren't any...

I currently have this problem, but I do also have an inch of water in the passenger side footwell and the car is locked up for weeks at a time with no air flow :D

My Prelude and Golf are full of water on the interior of the windows currently, same as all the cars on the forecourt. I think it's just a result of the ridiculous humidity we've had :( interesting that you're getting water in the wheel well, my Accord does this and I've also seen it in similar aged Civics. I'll ask the techs where the leak was on the last one in if that might help?

Spot on cheers dude! Trouble is the condensation happens every night when the dew comes down. Gets used and dried out daily too (massive pain in the arse first thing in the morning)

My Aerodeck's just started suffering with major condensation in the past couple of days. I have a bit of a soggy driver's carpet at the moment, so I think I have a rusty floor pan (which I'm going to get sorted a soon as poss), but the carpet has been drier more recently due to lesser rain than we had a couple weeks back, yet I appear to now have more condensation than I did a couple weeks back. I believe it to be due to the more extreme colder temperatures during the night at the moment though, not just a soggy carpet. Also each time you get in a cold car you'll end up adding to the condensation by simply breathing.

Definitely run your aircon if you've got it. I'm going to get some of those disposable dehumidifiers. I had one in the project Lude when I had a leak in there and that removed inches of water that I couldn't otherwise see :)

How deep a puddle are you getting in the boot though?

The puddle is an inch or two deep, use a hand pump to get it out!

In the car at the mo and the drivers carpet is very wet today for the first time :? The underside is almost completely rust free, could it just be from the build up of wetness? I run the aircon for a good half hour everyday to dry it out but it just comes back the next day. Try and get the windows open when it's not raining too to get some fresh air in.

Just put the new coilovers in last week, and when I took the trim out of the boot, the spare wheel was sat in just over an inch of water. Not sure why this is happening now, I had to change a flat last winter when we had a lot of rain and there wasn't any water in the boot at all.

Just as puzzled as you....

If it's an inch or two deep everyday then that's not just condensation. You must have a leak somewhere tracking back to the boot. But when the car warms up obviously this is evaporating and being dispersed around the car for it to then condensate on all the windows.

Until you can track down the leak, seal the speaker holes in the parcel shelf to limit the moisture to just the boot. The run the aircon as you have been to eradicate all the moisture from the cab.

You have a leak, it cant be anything else.
Have you checked the vent points on either side of the boot are unblocked.
I have condensation in the car and it usually comes from the rear of the roof onto the rear screen.

I can only assume you must have a leak somewhere. For that amount of build up inside, there isn't enough water in the air to cause it, so it must be coming from somewhere else in the car.
