Cruise Control on ATR Wheel

So, I think that most of you know, that ATR Steering wheel can be installed P&P for any Vgen Prelude (with little and simple modification for 4WS Ludes). However, when I first installed it, the thing that I missed most is lack of Cruise Control buttons on this wheel (Whereas on S2K wheel you already have them on)

So, I wanted to share with you that it's not really that hard to transplant Cruise Controls from OEM wheel to ATR one. Most "difficult" part is to cut "space" in ATR wheel where Cruise Control can be fit and mounted (Like in OEM wheel).

At first I tried to fit it exactly like on OEM wheel. However since ATR one is thicker and smaller it wasn't really comfortable when holding bottom part of wheel during some aggresive and fast turns. So I moved it a little further and now it's comfortable and Cruise Control is fully operational again.

The best thing and improvement that can be done is to use Cruise Control buttons from USDM Steering wheel, since control panel on USDM Wheel is much smaller than on EDM/JDM one. But, I had to manage with what I had, so yeah. Result isn't that bad at all.

Anyway here are some photos:

Looks quite neat!
Any pics of the process?

Could it be mounted further forward do you think? (so it's easier for thumbs to reach maybe, like the standard set up?) or is it the angle that's different, rather than how far back it is? :)

Sadly I forgot to take a pictures during the work. I was so occupied by it :D

And as I said, I did fit it more forward during my first try, but since ATR wheel is smaller than OEM, it was uncomfortable to hold wheel near control panel during aggresive turns on track. That's why I moved it at this angle little behind. Also, that's why USDM controls would be better. USDM panel is smaller and it wouldn't get in way for fingers/hand when placed forward like on OEM wheel. But even when it's put like this, there is no problem with using it. I have relatively small hands and I don't have any problems with it. Sometimes when holding the wheel near controls with my right hand I use my pointing and middle fingers knuckles to press the buttons :)

So, to sum it up - I tried both position and with EDM controls it is more comfortable to fit it like that :)
