Hey hey!
Got myself a momo steering wheel which I have (quite sadly) fallen in love with as I am not too keen on the standard one. Just wondering how easy it is to remove the airbag and if there is anything else I should do while at it. If it turns out it is a big job then I won't bother for now but this will inevitably get done at some point so thought why not just get it done now. That and I am incredibly impatient!
Thankings
Rachel

disconnect the battery, its easy enough to remove the steering wheel, just unplug the airbag
but the SRS light will come on the dash
you can either remove the bulb or use a resistor somehow I think

You can buy the resistor clips from USA (yellow plug). So you won't get the light on dash.

Techie question, are we saying that once an airbag / steering wheel are removed from a vehicle, that a warning light automatically illuminates, and then needs re-setting, even after the assembly has been replaced / re-installed?

or could you take the air bag module out of the steering wheel hide it under the dash with the lead connected ?

this would keep the srs light working

..or avoid having an accident in the first place. There was life before airbags.
