passenger seat rocking

Post by akiragost » Wed Feb 18, 2015 8:47 am

Heya guys. Im not sure if anyone else has this issue, but my papassenger seat in my 5g rocks around quite a bit, had a bit of a read online saying Honda seats tend to do that after a while and needs some sort of new washer to fix the issue? Does anyone else have more of an insight to this but on a prelude? Cheers guys

I've never heard of this issue before. The seat runners are bolted to the floor with 4 bolts, are they fully tight? Or is the seat rocking between the runners and the base?

I have this as well, and oddly it's much more noticable on the passenger's seat than the driver's :?

I've not looked into it at all yet as I'm actually considering getting new front seats, so would deal with it then, but yes, I imagine it's play in the actual runners themselves, not the seat.

Is it possible to exchange runners over from another seat onto this one? Because I have the AlcatRa and leather type s seats I beleive. So don't want to swap them out. Anyone else had this issue and managed to fix the seat? It's not the whole seat that rocks, it's just kind of the left side of it.

The bolts to the seat feel tight but I'm gonna have. Go with a spanner tonight.

Again, the same as mine. So the chances are it's the release mechanism that allows it to slide. Not tested mine yet, but does it do it when the seat is slid all the way forward?
