Lude Generation

So as the title suggests I have quite a bit of condensation forming on the inside of my rear window on my 4G...
I have noticed a lot on the iside of the boot lid aswell..

Are there any usual suspect places for water getting in the back??
The lower seal on the rear screen seems abit suspect..


Condensation gets real bad sometimes there isnt much in this photo, but after a good night of rain its litterally the whole rear window covered and running down like its been raining inside


I also have water settling sumwhere under the passenger side of the dash, then leaks onto the floor as I drive away first thing after a down poar..
I thought this might be pollen filter or lack of it..
I know it came as an optional extra and being as mine is the "poor mans model" or "Lightweight" it probably isnt there..

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Sunroof drains?

That bottom seal is usually overlooked. The foam seals perish on them and let water in. I made my own new ones using some thin closed cell foam

Ahh mine is starting to come away at the ends..
Do you think its possible to buy replacement rear window seals?

does it have a rear wiper? if so check out the window washer

This. I did the same on mine, and also sealed the trim to the glass as a belt and braces approach.

Had a similar problem quite a while ago, turned out to be the little gaskets around the clips that hold on the weather strip along the bottom of the rear windscreen. Just took them off (carefully), squirted a little clear silicone sealant on each one before reseating them and all was good..
There's another thread with some other pointers as to what it could be here..

Re the water leak at the dash, tale the scuttle panel off and have a look under there. The blower is on the passenger side of the car with the intake under the scuttle panel and there are some seals around a plastic shield that's designed to stop water getting in, iirc.
Also there is a hole that runs sideways out of the scuttle panel into the inner wing to allow water to drain. This area is somewhere that leaves can collect so it's possible they could have become blocked?
There are also some seams in this area that can corrode over time.
all these are possibles.

Also... Is the car parked on a slope at all when you leave it overnight?
Does it have air con? Have you still been using the air con?

Are your back seats wet?
If so, I'd take a good look in the boot and see if you have a pond in the wheel well. And if you do, then other than what the guys have said above, you should check the boot opening weather-strip, particularly at the bottom where rust can cause deformation and most importantly the gaskets behind each rear light cluster. They are a known culprit.
