I had Evo Recaros in my old Sir which now belong on LLL's Type-S. I have to say that they were more comfier then the standard prelude seats, they held you in better plus looked a lot better.
To fit them, I got the back of the bolt bits extended by nearly an inch. The metal fabricator did this for me in 20 mins.

so true I love my seats hplds me in so much better than the old onesJDM-BB4 wrote:The dc2 recaros in my 4th gen were far superior to the standard seats. Much more supportive all round.
If I took a fast corner I would slide around in the standard seats, and there ws no support around the shoulders.
I still count it as the best mod I did in all the years of prelude ownership.

Recaros in 5th Gen Prelude
I had the civic type r seats in mine we just cut the prelude mounting bracket off and welded them to the rails on the type r seats. They were a little to high tho as the civic rails are taller than the preludes

I took the old rails off. Added a metal plate with some other rail from another honda. That wasnt long enough so added another inch of metal plate to align the bolts. Ill get some pictures later on.gem85fred wrote:Nitin, did you use the evo rail's to fit the recaro's in ur prelude Sir?? i have the same evo 6 seats with evo rails but havent had the chance to fit um yet,

Did a bit of chopping and changing with the seats. In the end tho, they didnt fit but i know what needs to be done. Its only off by an inch at the back, where the bolts go. Also i noticed that the seats dont sit straight, they point towards the headlight.
Thinking of getting a frame built which fits the prelude, and then have the dc2 rails welding to it. Might be a good opportunity to grind the dc2 rails so it wil sit as low as possible.

EVO rails were removed. I had a metal plate welded so that the seat would sit higher in the car (I'm small
) and then I had some old civic/delsol rails welded on the bottom of that. Civic rails were all matching to the preludes chassis but only needed an extra inch at the back. I'll get some pics later and thn you will see.
