Bizarrely it looks like Homebase have a massive range of spray paints. I guess we can probably thank Linda Barker and Laurence LB for that

Thanks. I won't use Amazon these days, after the appalling way they treated Lisa when her account was hacked (from their end) so hoping we can turn up another alternative.

Looking on there it shows they do a range of metallic silvers (pewter, charcoal etc.) which would be great, but it gives no indication what the actual colour looks like

(all have a brown cap

)
Plasti-cote's site says B&Q sell their stuff, but I can't find it on B&Q's website (common theme here...)

Be good to hear how you get on at Wilkinson's, otherwise I guess I 'll have to have a trawl through homebase and B&Q tonight

Think I would try pewter or charcoal (charcoal is a difficult one to work out - why is that one shown with a 'sheen' look while the other metallics aren't?)
Although it doesn't list plastic as a suitable surface

Yep - 5 products... Stove paint and a couple of metal enamels

I was hoping they might do a slightly wider range than that in reality?

Interestingly @wurlycorner, Wilkos don't have plastikote anymore, they have gone over entirely to rustoleum.

B&Q do specialist paint also Halfrauds do some of the plasticote range

Halfords site was also a nightmare to work with, so I gave up

Just popped over to Homebase. They have a big range of the rustoleum stuff as well

While I was there I decided that the various silvers they have, were too light. So I left empty handed.
Then while I was driving home, I was looking round inside the car (traffic lights

) and decided that actually, maybe one of the silvers would be ok.
So I guess I'll go back and get some to try...
