The ones that brake for you are annoying as well... she can drive bumper to bumper in chaotic Italian city traffic at 10mph over the speed limit but as soon as we get back to empty England I've apparently forgotten how to drive. Boils my body lemonade but I find just getting out of the car and leaving them at a set of traffic lights usually does the trick.

Well, we think we may have found out the root cause of the wet pedal.
As you can see, the scuttle was in pretty good nick. Bit of dust but no tropical flora and fauna wedged in there.
Shot 1.

Shot 2.

Shot 3.

It did drain so the scuttle is not the culprit.
Jason also put on some new foam tape to seal it better.

Thanks for the info from the profiles on how to do this.
Now, after much head scratching and going round the houses with some wacky ideas we came to this conclusion, which may or may not be correct.
Now here's a shot of my footwell. As you can see, there's no rust, no wetness and no puddles.

Our conclusion is that because the pedal is right in the line of the air-con blower and because I have the setting on 'Face and Feet' the pedal is getting condensation on it which perhaps causes the wetness.
I've changed the setting on the air-con to 'Face' and we're going to leave it there for a week or so and see if it makes a difference. We may be clutching at straws here but it does seem a fairly feasible.
Thoughts anyone? Ta so much, Simon.

I'm not so sure about that one mate.. if it were condensation from the air-con, why is it localised to that one spot ..and how come it's concentrated enough to soak your shoe and nothing else? Carpets, etc..
Get in the car, head in footwell, get a friend to pour water on the car until you see a drip. Or make friends with local DJ, borrow his smoke machine and fill the car with smoke until you see it coming out (of the leak spot, if there is one) ..I'm aware of other, potentially more enjoyable ways to smoke box a car, but I don't think the legal system is worth messing with out there.

@bb1boy. Morning chap and hope you're well. I hear what you're saying and if, after using the car on 'face' air-con mode for a week and the pedal is dry then your plan is what we'll have to do.
Don't know any DJ's out here matey, so no smoke I'm afraid, unless I take a pack of B&H into the foot well and smoke myself to death looking for the alleged hole.
I'll keep you up to speed if I feel a soggy sock in the next few days...

I'm great thanks mate
Good luck with the car though.. it's bad enough having car troubles in the UK so respect for tackling them in a foreign country! I know you've had your issues with the Prelude, so even more respect to you for keeping it going.. in fact, +rep for you dude, you'll get there with it and you'll be so glad you did
