Hello, name's Matt from south London currently living in Oxford, been a lurker here since I bought my 5th gen a couple months ago!

Shamefully it's an automatic, but I aim to change that, and it was going for just £400 since it needed a new PS cooler pipe, I managed to get a company called MF Hydraulics to make me a (much easier to fit) copy for just £50 and here we are!

Here's the pipe

And here's the 'lude with A1ex's old Motegi wheels fitted!

I want to start gathering parts for a Manual conversion around January, biggest obstacle right now is needing something else to drive while the Prelude is off the road for a week (assuming ample time for jobby to go wrong =P )

Will make a thread of the work when it goes ahead if people are interested!

8-)

That's a decent price for getting a place to make a replacement up.
I'm trying to find a hydraulic place near me that will copy the hoses for a 4th gen (they're different to a 5th).
Drawn a blank so far, but will keep on it and aiming to offer a group buy.

Lude looks smart, fair play on going for a manual conversion.

I keep thinking I should have asked him to make a few of them to sell on, most 5th Gens I've seen the cooler pipe is in a pretty far-gone state of corrosion, I wonder if peeps on the forum would be interested...

Am I right in thinking that on the 4th gen one the 'D' part can be removed separately? I remember seeing a drawing of an alternate layout

Thanks for the welcomes guys!

On the 4th gen, the oil cooler bit (the 'D' or 'U') bit is bigger and finned (on most, some are un-finned) and can be seperated yep.

But the hoses/pipe lines are also very different in the bay, yep Hardy and I were comparing them at Mimms (we know how to live, huh? :D )
