Hi all, just bought myself a 4th gen 2.2 VTEC 4ws and thought I would join up here as I'm sure I will need help and advice sooner rather then later!

I will post some pics of my car soon although its a little tatty. its my new project and I hope to have it looking good before too long.

now on to my question. I can't for the life of me figure out how to adjust the wing mirrors. I'm assuming they are electric as there is no stalk, but can't see the switch for them anywhere. where is it located? unfortunately the manual is in Japanese and not much good to me!

Cheers, Chris.

Welcome, Chris!

And congratulations on your new arrival and exquisite choice.

To answer your question - you'll have to wait for someone else as I have no idea, sorry. Maybe befriend a Japanese person? One of the nice things about this forum is that (Other than some good natured ribbing) people don't tend to take the body lemonade about questions.

EDIT: But some of the auto censorship is, you'll find...erm...characterful

hi m8 and welcome in.

the wing mirror ajuster on a jdm is on the drivers side door card where you rest your arm ;)

and the little button next to it should be power folding for them.

Look at your drivers door handle. If it is JDM you will see a square button that moves the mirror of your choice. Attached to the top of it their is a slider with L and R on it that selects which mirror moves

Also welcome to LG.

As above if it's a pre-facelift.
Post facelift, the controls are in the centre console next to the hazard switch (bottom right in the picture).

Thanks for all the replies!

I feel a bit better now, as far from being either blind or stupid, the mirrors switch just isnt there, in either of the locations.

How do i tell if the car is pre or post facelift? as im hoping all the wiring is present either under the center console or behind the door card and all i have to do is fit the switch.
For now, will it damage the mechanism if i try and force the mirror into place as a stopgap?

And here is a picture, bit of a chavwagon but all good fun!

Welcome to the club Bludge (Nice name by the way  )

Those locations for the mirror adjustment described are the only two locations, so it's either there or a previous owner has removed/relocated it, which would mean either there's a whopping great hole (as it's not the smallest of switches) or they've done some custom work inside. I can see from your pic, that it doesn't have a standard colour interior, so is it a case they've patched over it? If you post up some pics of you centre console and your driver's door card we'll be able to tell you if it's a pre-facelift or facelift and where the button should be ;-)

We'd be able to tell if it was a pre-facelift or facelift from the outside normally, but obviously that's had some custom work too ;-) ... Plus you've got facelift headlights, but pre-facelift nostrils/grills.
