Hello
Just purchased prelude 2.0 16v 5 speed with 64k verified miles that requires some bodywork to be done to bring it up to spec
Person that sold me it told me it was a 2.0 montegi as it has been fitted with factory rear spoiler from new, however previous owner decided to fit steel wheels to it and sold its alloys?
Anyway have checked with dvla and it came up as a 2.0I but hpi check showed it as 2.0 montegi
I have assumed that dvla are correct
at present car needs new front bumper, as badly scratched and grazed and rust is just starting on the edge of the rear wheel arches where it meets the bumper
Is it possible to get prepainted front bumper + kit to repair arches as I am looking to have necessary works carried out at my friends bodyshop
Apart from that car the bodywork of the car is excellant, interior is like new and it us mechanicaly sound
I have managed to source a set of 16" 5 blade 4 stud twin spoke honda alloys and will get them refurbished before putting on the car once bodywork is completed
With reference to side skirts can you still purchase honda original parts or one parts as would like to paint same colour as car
Any advice that you could give would be great

Motegi just refers to the lip kit (front/rear/side skirts) and alloys (and if you're lucky, a cool badge on.the boot). I'm surprised that's even listed on any database anywhere as it was an option, rather than a specific model, so don't get too hung up on whether it is/isn't a Motegi. If you have/fit the kit and alloys, then it is one.
You might be able to track down a pre-painted bumper in scrapyards or on the forum, however they don't tend to post well, so look for one locally.
You can't buy them new pre-painted (they come in primer).
What colour is yours?
You can buy rear arches via @cebul on the forum.

LO Matey
When i bought my 2.0i it had 14 inch steel wheels from new
It had no front lip and had black textured side skirts and rear section below the rear bumper.
I got my standard side skirts painted to match my car and i think they look ok.
They dont sit as low as the MOTEGI one's.
If your Lude is Blue i would get Rebekah's one's and save on the paint job
Get some piccies up
Cheers

Hi there
Thanks for the advice
The car is a light silver blue shade don't know exact colour reference for it
and yes Rebekah I would be interested in your side skirts
And I will get back to you when I get back from my hols as flying out for a week on Sunday
Have spoken to my mate who is going to paint the car and he has told me the bumper just needs to be rubbed down so not as bad as I thought.
I will post pictures once work has.been complete as she looks a bit sad at present sitting on steel wheels as alloys are being refurbished at present
The wheels I have sourced have 4 stud fitment and they fit absolutely perfect but it took a lot of searching of the internet to find them and I even managed to track down a centre cap as one of them was missing would note just found some more on ebay and also check parts for sale samiya85 who has the same alloys as mine for sale from a 2.0 mk5
If I knew how to post pictures I would add them but I would rather wait until car is fixed up

Does anyone know where I can purchase a prelude sticker for rear bumper as existing will be removed whilst car is being fixed up at the. Body shop.
Rear quarters and front and rear bumpers need paint
