Hiiii
had this for a few months, its a 1999 2.2 5G motegi with the 197bhp red top engine, on 125k miles.
its been great so far, makes a nice noise and is a bit unusual. Not many people seem to know what it is, especially as there's no badges
all standard apart from
Lowered unknown amount (about 40mm) on koni springs
janspeed rear silencer, its pretty quiet
honeycomb grille
zebra mats
jdm rear bumper
manual tensioner conversion
Few problems as with all older machines
- Passenger door wouldnt open from the inside(!), this was just the connector rod from the handle which was bent, not sure how. The bit that is shaped like an oval that the mechanism moves in was not flat enough (should have taken pics doh). Basically its the bit that allows both outer and inner handles to move individually but operate the one latch.
- Oil leak under and around distributor was a leaky rocker cover gasket, replaced this - all good now
- Belts squealing on startup, fixed by tightening power steering and alternator belts
- Headlamps loose...'fabricated' new side brackets in a DIY fashion. The mount on the top of the headlamp housing was also broken, I basically just glued it all back together with lots of araldite.
- No rear numberplate illuminator as the bumper is not original. Think its needed for MOT. Diy'd one just in case because I'm too lazy to get a real honda part!
Next job - new tyres to fit
