I bought the dye kit from Gliptone. I would highly recommend it.
The worn areas are completely renovated when you dye them.

It's hard work and takes a lot of patience. :(

If its leaking that much I would think its the oil seal gone around the oil cooler. @vtecmec has just done his... There is pics on his thread somewhere on how to do it.

 seems I didn't read all 4 or 5 pages before I decided to post... everyone beat me to it.

Hehe, no problem! id rather have 30 people answering all saying the same thing, than work of just one opinion...... general consensus is the oil cooler, although i felt oil all down the back of the rocker cover, so it might be that

Now i could be completley off, but im trying to deduce a bit how the car acted the way it did on the drive home. Didnt seem overly smokey or oily for most of the drive, it was only the last 10 mins or so, where i had got the car up to 6000rpm doing a bit of high speed on the dual carrigeway that i really started to actually smell the oil and see smoke coming from behind me. im hoping its something like i had a minor leak from the cooler, as i went faster and higher rpm oil pressure spiked and therefore was dumped out of the leak a lot quicker....... this sound logical? or like some lude newbies lunatic ravings :geek:

EDIT : - Damn H10nda, thats an awesome coloured prelude!

EDIT 2: Ok after flicking through this 1400 page service manual on the Prelude....... i need to figure out what codes im getting thrown at. the engine check light was one of the ones coming on when i drove back, after about 30 mins, so id like to know what the hell that problem was. has someone created a wiki or nice post explaining how to check my codes, with a ref table to consult? or am i just being cheeky :P

No, I didn't cheat. They haven't been re-covered.
They were fairly good condition grey leather which I dyed black.
Ahhh... My apologies, I hadn't seen that on your thread, I thought I'd read they were recovered...

God job with the dyeing!

Yeah, I know H22powaaa's seats aren't good, but if ghostriders are so bad they've had temporary covers put on, I was thinking it's possible they're even worse?

EDIT:
For some reason the linked pic seems to be showing the un-edited version of the picture! Works fine when I look at the pic directly. Hopefully it'll sort its life out and show the correct version above soon...
Should be showing a red circle on the horizontal run of the second pipe from the right on the exhaust manifold.

if its the little bit of logo on the pipes coming out directly down from the 'E' of the VTEC on the rocker cover, that says Megan Racing, although i thought they were the intake headers (not mechanical, could be being retarded). Will add some pics in a sec from my engine light checks

Right, well armed with the CEL codes and a paperclip, i set to work!

This is what i found when looking for the connector.... only 2 wired connector i could find in the area:

Like the master craftsman i am, created the paperclip short

But...... Nothing happened! plugging in made no appreciable difference. when i put the dash lights on the engine light came on momentarily with the rest of the lights, but then went out. this is what i was left seeing:

So whats going on here? id love to think my cars problem free, but it looks like this check aint doing stuff all. Suggestions?
