so thought that now the lude is on the road i would start a threadd of its progression.

Now the New lude

2.2 vtec BB1 4th gen currently reading around 66k miles but not sure how accurate that is. Japanese service history and mot schedules. No MOT or tax when bought.
Mods when bought K&N filter, powerflow cat back all one piece.
Newest mods (mainly to get through MOT) SS mani and downpipe, rear disks, tow hook on rear and front indicators changed from orange to black.

After a full detail inside and out

well the convertor chip has been replaced and the car is now back to mph

thanks @vanzep

this was what i was left with, you can see the crack through the origional chip

the silver lude looks good - reckon you need a rocker cover refurb and new gasket and cam end cap - that should sort out the oil leaks and smarten the bay up.
good work on the convertor and glad it worked out :)

@Merlin that was my first meet and an LB one - was put up on PUK as well but no one from PUK came along :(
we dont seem to have that LB vs PUK problem any more now weve got LG :D

yeah the engine bay could do with a full clean like and the rocker shouldnt take too long to do a gasket should be too much

yeah that was a LB meet was a good laugh good meeting people and the MX5 that got towed in still have pictures of that :P

need to underseal the car, surprised it wasnt done when it was imported, thought it would be the 1st thing to do with and import. need to see if i cant fix the pasenger side folding mirror or see if cant just buy one from someone on here.

i have the Van im working on also may put up some pics on that too

well after a couple of nights getting woke up at stupid o'clock because of my alarm, i started to disconnect the battery at nights that became a pain so had a look at the alarm today this is what i found

it was the smell of melted plastic that i got 1st then noticed the circuit board had melted in places

so yeah the siren got removed and ill live with an immobilizer

Yeah was a toad and what a smell when i opened it burnt plastic is awful at the best of times but this was bad
