Actually bought one! Didn't mean too as I just did a curiosity bid
It's fairly rough round the edges but would like to get it MOT'd or at least see whats needed.
couple of things I could do with some advice on are
The drivers window doesn't work (Motor sounds but doesn't go up and down but will slide on its own accord)
Engine starts fine and idles fine but drives rough and sluggish, vtec doesn't kick in properly (could be its been sitting a good while)
Theres also a knocking when the cars warm? not sure if its actually coming from the engine or from something hitting as kit doesn't sound quite like engine knock?
Not sure what to do with this one really as hadn't planned on getting one! If it turns out to be too much work I'll have to break the car which would be a shame

Any advice is welcome

Nice accidental purchase!
The window could be something as simple as the glass has come out of the regulator. Taking the door panel off and having a nosey would be a good idea.
Are you getting an engine check light? Have you checked for any stored codes? Might be something like an O2 sensor that's past its best? As for the knock, given the age of these cars now more likely to be suspension related. If the engine idles fine does it sound OK when you rev it in neutral?

The car will idle fine, nice and smooth
Then when it warms up a knock appears, if anything when you rev the car the noise goes? Hence why I thought it might be something to do with something fouling something when the metal has expanded when warm maybe?

Given that the car idles OK but runs rough it's hard to say without seeing/hearing it - have you checked the downpipe and flexihose on the exhaust (common weak point) to see if that's all intact?

Engine mount? It could be that when it's warmed up, the revs drop to idle and it's just the right frequency top make something vibrate? Just a thought.

Glass definitely should not be possible to pull up and down by hand. As suggested, sounds very much like it have become disconnected from the regulator. Should be easy to fix
For the knocking, check the downpipe hanger on the back of the engine.
