S-Spec Lude

Hey guys and girls, bought a s-spec almost a year ago now and thought its about time I made a profile on it. First off, I love the thing, can’t believe I’ve been stuck on civics for so long! I have a thing for coupes, previous cars have all been civic coupes. EJ2, EJ6 and two EM1s. After the EM1, the only thing that ticked my boxes for the next car, was a 5th gen Lude and after having a close up look at Nitin's Type S, I decided a lude was the one to go for. It had to be either a Type S or S-spec and after about 4 months of searching, a s-spec came up for sale on ludegeneration.

It came with front tints, skunk2 catback exhaust system, lowered on tein basic coilovers, and EP3 wheels. It still has the original tape player and cd changer.

So these pics are from the original advert:

Previous owner was kind enough to pop the dent out of the bumper and replace the light for me.

Lights were a little cloudy so I bought some halfords rubbing compound and got to work, it made a huge difference. Gave it a quick rub with autoglym polish and then went over it a few times with meguiars spray wax and it looked almost as good as new.

The car came with an aftermarket gear knob so I replaced it with a DC2 knob. I love the feel of the DC2 knob, i've had it on previous cars.

Didn’t like the feel of the original steering wheel, so replaced it with the personal steering wheel from my EM1 before it got sold.

Haven't got any interior shots yet, but will post some up when I get the chance.

Before replacing the rear bumper, I was looking for a rear motegi lip so it can be sprayed at the time. At the time, I could only find one on ebay, which I won for £10… but, and it’s a big but ;) I had to collect from Norwich. Managed to find a rear bumper as well which I got from Kent. Decided to take the prelude letters off. Wasn't keen on the smaller front number plate, so ordered and fitted JDM sized plate.

The EJ2 got written off, couldn't find another decent one so went for EJ6. That ended up with engine trouble so scrapped that and went for EM1, after i crashed that, i went for another EM1, only reason being i absolutely love the shape and managed to find one in EBP. A year had passed and was starting to get a little bored of it, wanted something I didn't have to rev the nuts off to get moving lol, I didn't want to spend more money attempting to raise the bhp and torque figures. Better option for me was to just sell and go for a lude. Was quite surprised at how much car you get for the money when it comes to a lude. Sooooo glad i've got one, i love it!
