Installed some prosport 45mm gauges in the Carbon Fibre plate I bought of A1ex on the forum.
They look alright:

Nice work. The cut looks scarily close to the edge of the fibre, did a good job not to break it there.

Cheers, it is not as close as it looks though as I have hidden some of the CF with the radio surround.

Ah cool, I had a mil or so tucked in behind mine. Did you have to trim much off the edge to get it in?

The finish looks good from the pictures too, will have to cut a fresh one for mine at some point :)

How was the mounting in the end, did you try again with the glue?

In the end I took a good few mm's off, just spent a few hours sanding the plate down till I was happy with the fit. I'll leave the plate just now with it tucked into the radio surround but if it starts to move I might just get some double sided tape and see how that works.

Best way to do it, I knew it was too big when I sent it but wasn't sure how much as my car wasn't around to test it :( Figured it was best to send it too big than guess it and it be too small :)

Anyhow, good work. Have some rep ;)
