Ahh well spotted but no type r on track that day.
Knockhill has 5 or 6 of them which they use for "driver experience days". :)

I bought a new egr gasket to go with it - probably not needed but this is to explain i have the parts numbers for both the gasket and block of plate but dont know which is which
I think the gasket is 18715-PB2-000 and the egr blockoff plate is 18711-PM1-J00.
Price was about £15 for the plate - got it from Htune :)
Ive also fitted a thermal gasket - Thermatec or Heavyset do them on ebay for around £13 for the throttle body one and £28 for the manifold one.
Hope this helps ;)

Front Brake Upgrade - VTTR discs

Post by vanzep » Thu Jan 19, 2017 4:10 pm

still not got the ATR intake one the car
but i did get round to fitting the VTTR sports fronts brake discs :) this is my first ever brake upgrade and only a mild one at that
the front brakes had been working fine for day to day driving but clearly werent up to the job for the occasional track outing....
so got these fitted today with some assistance from @Merlin - took a bit of effort to get the olds discs off.....
ive just gone for pagid standard pads at the moment and will see how they do :)
anyway the jobs a good un and they certainly have a fair bit more bite
im still on the look out for some performance pads for when i take it out on track

note to self: passenger side outer cv boot needs replaced asap - arches need attention :| :x

These look great, will look nice under the rota wheels 8-)

am guessing you ll need it mapped as soon as you fit the new Inlet? Or will it just run poorly with it on?

Yep i will need a P28 or similar ecu and a dyno tune - cost will be around £400-£500 all in.
The ATR inlet in a single runner whereas the Prelude inlet is a dual runner ;)
