this is true. maybe i can get some kind of heat proof engine bra made to go over the rocker cover....

OR a heat reactant paint, which when cold is blue but when hot is red.....

or i could just shut the fudge up

a little bit of work done recently on the AN fittings. i thought this would be a fun part of the build but ooooohhh nnnoo

for a start, just to cut the bloody braided hosing took a good while. tried a hacksaw....no. made a HELL of a mess. didnt have a large sharp chisel thing and wasnt keen on the idea of using that. tried some "braided line" snips....nope. did fudge all. tried bolt cutters....nope. cut it, just, but made a mess.

ended up investing in an angle grinder. took a couple of goes to get a neat cut, but now no problem 8-)

still took weeks to get to this point

then, next problem is getting the cut hose into a fitting... urgh. even the tiniest bit of frey or wire gets in the way, plus its pretty much the same size as the fitting so squeesing it in is a friggin PITA. i ended up using masking tape (which i used to cut the hose for a neat cut, as all guide advise) on the end of the hose to tighten up the end and keep it on there while shoving it in..... :o

worked though. eventually.
