if they want to write off the car for the cost of cosmetic work rather than mechanical failure you can request that her insurance company put the car back to how it was pre accident

The car goes into the workshop tomorrow, and like said Mr Handsome said, I will be pushing for pre accident goodness!
Whether it helps or not the PC heard her it was her fault. Probably not admissible evidence as they will have to stay impartial.
