yep so it seems :)
all i need to do is be patient and miraculously the right parts appear

i thought they might be your old speakers and they are a good if not perfect match for the kenwood speakers i have in the front...so im really pleased with the set up and the blaupunkt head unit (which funnily enough you recomended i buy) 8-)

Thanks to @3rd gen steve for the MOT :)

Its my 15th MOT and the car is sitting at 185,000miles but as i have changed the speedo clocks twice i think the actual mileage is slightly lower.

now i can get some new parts on the lude!

Re: BB4 New Rear Knuckles/Hubs&Bodykit

Post by vanzep » Tue Jul 28, 2015 1:36 pm

Ive had a suspect offside rear bearing for some time now - with a steady drone at motorway speeds - its loud enough off camber to hear over the exhaust note :o
there was no play in it but now its been replaced i can feel how rough the bearing was - id say it puts enough drag on the back wheel equivalent to one notch on the handbrake being applied - probably up to 2 notches when heated up
3rd gen steve had reminded me about this recently so thanks to him for prompting me to get this fixed ;)

fortunately i had a pair of fully built up knuckles/hubs so they made it an easy and cost effective job :)

still to test drive the car and not sure if it will need an alignment done

Other good news is the wing west stuff is ready to go on - ive built up the front and rear into full clips (as the americans call them) so should be a few bolts and clips and hey presto new lude

and ive still to fit the whitline rear arb and then there is other stuff to do :P

I wouldn't think you would need one. The shock would have been untouched. Looks a nice colour match on the plate holder.
