Re: Rob's BB6 JDM SiR - Suspension Overhaul Begins.

Today I fitted my replacement shocks with Tein lowering springs that I bought off Newkid. My old shocks were mismatched and different heights (fronts: standard Koni's, rears: OEM with unknown 20mm lowering springs).

A few days ago I cleaned the minor rust off and painted them with some blue Hammerite. Every step and every bolt was a huge pain in the arse, I also had to swap the front top mounts over too, so I could keep the OEM strut brace.

It feels much better and slightly stiffer now, I didn't get many pics.

A small update. I put the lude in for an MOT the other day, it sailed through. The only advisory was a slight blow from the flexi pipe (which I knew about).

A few weeks ago I gave it a service:

I've been having a headache with my exhaust lately too, I bought a Honda Access back box from Mills a few months ago, I recently also bought a new centre section. It was a massive ball ache to remove the old exhaust, had to angle grind the nuts off, drill out the studs etc...

Anyway, fitted the new centre section and Access back box.... To find it was 4" too short. Turns out the JDM cats are shorter.

So I think I may have a custom stainless centre section made up. On a plus note, the Honda Access backbox looks awesome when fitted. I forgot to get a picture though lol :/
