You weren't the only one. When we did the timing on your car it was so far out it made us think that it was us who couldn't get timing gun to work properly

Yes i used the cams that @Drax sent me - I had them micro polish 6 lobes that had marks/corrosion on one of them and the other cam only had superficial scratches due to the cams being made of such a hard material. So it all worked out in the end

well it certainly more responsive all they way through the range and so smooth you cant actually feel vtec kick in but i felt it get another push further up the rev range about 6k rpm.

tbh ive had a wee dab at the throttle in town and its just too quick for other traffic so im going to save it for when i can get a clear run out of town.

i was amazed at how little it cost to get the cams in , the timing redone, new rocker cover gaskets seals and cam end cap and disti moved back and timed up

So it worked out with my carefull planning to be a low cost but big improvement in performance


I also got the fogs fitted with help from @newkid everything is in place including fog light bezels but we still cant the them to work so will need to have another go later in the week. The fogs do make a improvement to the look at the front end and finish it all off very nicely.

As usual they way of the lude is two steps forward and one back - on the way home on of my amber indicator reflectors fell off and i drove over it and smashed it to bits It was the last thing i did and obviously drokked it up

@vanzep Newkid has sent me a full set of indicators/reflectors, if you need the drivers side (I needed the passenger), I have that spare and can send it to you.

No that goes on when i get the modified ATR inlet mani and Hondata S300 installed
unfortunately that wont be any time soon
