Re: Rob's BB6 JDM SiR - muffin wipers fixed.
Small update, nothing exciting. My intermittent wiper function has never worked since I've owned it, then my wipers stopped working altogether.
Found out that one if the spindles on the wiper mechanism was mashed. So I got a new mechanism and wiper arms off Rich at PAW, I also traced the intermittent wiper fault to a bad relay. So I have fitted the replacement mechanism and relay, and everything is now working spot on.
I've had no wipers for nearly 2 weeks, luckily I've only been caught out by rain twice.

Re: Rob's BB6 JDM SiR - muffin wipers finally fixed.
So a bit of an update, some parts of my Suspension are showing signs of serious wear and some with some play in them. So I have started renewing them.
A few weeks ago I replaced the rear toe arms (sorry, no pics). I noticed that they didn't have genuine Honda washers where you adjust the toe, so I ordered some more and fitted them today.
What the genuine washers look like:

Last week I went down to a friends garage to replace the rear lower ball joints, it was a total pain in the arse to get the old ones out. Had to use loads of heat and a huge hammer to get them out. The new ones went in a treat though.
Next job was to tackle the front tie rods and they were shot.
I picked up a pair if these Delphi tie rods, the quality actually seems better than the OEM ones.

New one fitted:

The old tie rod was absolutely fooked:

I obviously did the passenger side too. I then decided to change the gearbox oil.
I had some Amsoil MTF I bought from Opie Oils.

I used one of these long funnels, which made the job really easy. It was £2 from The Range.

For anyone who hasn't done a gearbox oil change before, you need a special square tool that fits onto the drain bolt, and you can then use a 19mm to remove it.

Next jobs, tomorrow I will be fitting new shocks I bought. I have also ordered new upper ball joints and stabiliser links.
