Ended up on just 3 cylinders today... Sounded like a blinkin' Scooby :? With a quick process of elimination I discovered that one of the spark plugs had simply given up the ghost. So after blagging a lift off my little sister who lives nearby to take me to Halfords, I've fitted all new NGK plugs and she's right as rain again.

Thank god that's all it was! As otherwise I would have given it no further investigation and had no other choice but to break her :|

Very strange. Both of my 3rd Gens did exactly that. New plugs solved both situations.

JDM EF Civic Si Lip Fitted

Post by NafemanNathan » Wed Jul 10, 2013 11:13 pm

I put some time aside tonight to finally fit the JDM EF Civic Si lip I've had kicking about since I bought it for the Aerodeck.

Obviously not a direct fit, and it's a bit short on the sides, but I'm happy with the first fitting. I won't bore you with my usual how-to style, I'll just show you how I started with the existing lip which I'd had my body guy trim the under side away as it stretched right back beforehand...

Image

I could then get access and used 5x M10x70 bolts and fixings like this through 5 of the 11 existing holes in the lip...

Image

Image

The sides of the original lip are much deeper than the front face, but now it's the same depth all the way round...

Image

Excuse the pictures and the state of the car, it's riddled in dust and flies at the moment and it was just getting dark, but on the car...

There's a slight gap on both corners as there's no fixes there at the moment, but it does easily pull into place, so I'll sort that in time...

Image

And this is where it falls up short...

But the pictures make it look worse than it is and as said I'm more than happy with it. The lip needs to come off again anyway as it has a few grazes I want to fill and I also plan to paint it satin black, so it will tie in much better.

Manual Wing Mirrors Fitted

Post by NafemanNathan » Wed Jul 17, 2013 12:02 am

Finally got hold of a set of replacement wing mirrors :D

The current state of the driver's mirror looked like this...

Image

Image

Image

Both the backs (the fronts :? ) were quite scuffed up as well, so (and much to honda-hardy's disgust) I couldn't be arsed to fix them :P

Also I actually preferred the style of manual mirrors and I feel they're much more inkeeping with the style of the car.

The passenger side had a bit of a scuff on it and the driver's had a stain on it from the breaker's marker and where I'd had a hard time removing it

Image

but a spot of T-cut later...

Image

Once fitted the manual adjuster obviously sticks into the car...

Image

So being I don't ever adjust my mirrors, I'll chop this off so I can refit the finishing blanks like this...

Image

A quick couple of pics between sides before it got dark...

Also I might have purchased these today :? ...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251305648599? ... 1439.l2649

I absolutely love my Rondells, but I've always had a feeling that they're just a little too "nice". I wanted this car to look a little meaner. I almost bought a brand new set of these Dare Enkei RPF1 reps for £400 before I got the Rondells, so I couldn't resist these at the price the guy wanted for them... With decent tyres too!

So I'm going to run a pair of these on the back and two of my remaining three RH Classics from the Aerodeck on the front (Possibly with spacers). I also bought some black Plastidip today to wrap them in 8)
